Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always tried to imbue himself with the culture and tradition of the place he visits; towing on similar lines when the Prime Minister visited Meghalaya he tried his hand at playing drums along with folk dancers at a cultural event organised in his honour at Mawphlang Village, 25 km from Shillong, in East Khasi hills district of Meghalaya on Saturday morning. He minutely took notice of each and every aspect of the village which testifies his penchant for culture and heritage.

Locals of the heritage village were moved by PM Modi's sweet gesture.
Prime Minister Modi, who is on his maiden visit to the state, also interacted with the locals and folk dancers.
In a bid to strike a chord with the locals he tried to strike a conversation with people residing in the village. Photographs form an integral part of Modi's visits, similarly, the Prime Minister didn't let go off an opportunity of getting clicked with the villagers.
PM Modi's earnest attempt at playing the drum was enthralling.
