While Ishant Sharma set the ball rolling with his hilarious facial expression, which became a meme sensation, images of Mithali Raj nonchalantly reading a book before coming out to bat during the ICC Women's World Cup 2017, MS Dhoni taking a nap on the field as Sri Lankan fans threw bottles on the field and Virat Kohli taking a break as smog drama unfolded during the India versus Sri Lanka New Delhi Test made the heads of Indian cricket fans turn in 2017. Kohli takes a nap as smog steals the show: There are not too many who could steal Virat Kohli's thunder on the cricket field and halt play. But Delhi smog did. The Sri Lankan players fielded with masks on faces as Delhi pollution brought the third India versus Sri Lanka Test at Feroz Shah Kotla to standstill for around 20 minutes. The Dhoni nap: Come win or loss, come accolades or criticism, come bottles or whatever, the last time when MS Dhoni lost his cool was the time when none of us were born and he took that Captain Cool' nickname to a whole new level as he took a nap while the spectators decided to test the strength in their shoulders and arms and throw bottles on the field as Sri Lanka moved closer to yet another defeat against India. Reader, believer, doer: Stop the press! MS Dhoni has some competition in terms of coolness on the cricket field and it's from the captain of the Indian side Mithali Raj. While the lady is one of the best to have ever graced the game just YouTube the stuff to watch those silken drives, she upped the coolness quotient as a photo of her reading a book before coming out to bat in the ICC Women's World Cup game against England went viral. The Dhoni stretch: While the Dhoni stretch left cricket fans awestruck, it became a meme sensation soon after India lost the match. While the split did not allow New Zealand to dislodge at that very moment, it did not stop him from winning the second Twenty20 of the three-match series. While the critics questioned Dhoni's place in India's T20 side, one of the meme summed up saying the distance Dhoni covered in that split was perhaps the distance between India's chances of winning and losing. Kumble's endgame face? Will he or will he not? The Ishant face: Australia have taken some big strides to pull of an upset in Bengaluru after toppling India in Pune and taking 1-0 lead in the series. Australia were on top, India was scrapping and Steve Smith was in mood for some chatter. And then the entire scene changed, Ishant with his long hair tied with a rubber band or whatever it was, decided to give his acting chops a chance, what followed from thereon was a burst of laughter from Smith, Virat Kohli and the entire cricketing world and ya, a sensational and dogged Indian comeback in the match which they won after being bundled out for runs in the first innings.
