Result of 1o years of engineering, this product called HipAir uses an elaborate algorithm and sensors to detect and cushion a fall. It can turn a fall that can generate an impact force of 100000 newton down to mere 600 newtons.
Sophia The Robot: Hanson Robotics' Sophia bot has been around since 2016. However, it is still a crow-puller at the CES 2018. In the recent update, Sophia has got a new pair of legs. She can move at up to almost a km per hours. Sophia can also communicate using machine learning and mostly scripted commands. She has mastered quite a few human expressions. In coming years, she is expected to mimic more human behavior and even serve in healthcare and education.
Modobag: Modobag changes the way you travel. We all carry our suitcases. But, Modobag is a motorised suitcase that can carry you. The Chicago based start-up has made a suitcase that is also a portable bike. It has a 150-Watt electric motor, wheels, and handlebar. It has a range of 9.6 km on a single charge. You can achieve the speed of 12.8 km per hour. The Modobag can support the riders up to 117 kg. It comes with dual USB charging ports for your electronics and optional GPRS-GSM tracking.
L'Oreal UV Sense: French cosmetic company L'Oreal has made a tiny sensor that can track harmful UV (Ultra Violet) rays. The wearable is less than two millimeters thick, nine millimeters in diameter and designed to be worn on the thumbnail. It is the first wearable electronic UV sensor powered without a battery. The wearable has an accompanying mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, which transfers data from the sensor using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. The app delivers information detailing when the wearer should be mindful of UV exposure.
