After India, Japan ink nuclear deal, Modi and Abe ride on famed bullet train

Modi held wide-ranging talks with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, aimed at giving a fillip to the bilateral strategic relations.

Narendra Modi and Shinzo Abe travelled in Japan's famed high-speed Shinkansen bullet train, which is being introduced in India on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad stretch.
He also addressed the Indian Community and termed the demonetisation as 'Swachhata Abhiyan'. He also hailed the undaunting spirit of people despite their hardship following its announcement on November 8.
After a ride with Abe in the famed bullet train, Modi visited Kawasaki Heavy rolling stock factory in Kobe.

At their annual Summit, Modi and Abe will discuss ways to enhance ties in a broad range of areas, including security, trade and investment, skill development and infrastructure development.
Ahead of the talks, Modi was accorded a guard of honour at Kantei, the Japanese Prime Minister's official residence.
