Hyderabad: The 27th Annual Conference of the Neuro-Spinal Surgeons Association of India (NSSA) is set to bring together over 450 spine surgery experts to explore cutting-edge advancements in the field. The conference will be held in Hyderabad, with a hands-on workshop at KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad. This year’s theme, “Optimising Spine Surgery”, emphasizes improving surgical outcomes through technology and innovation.
The event will feature notable collaborations with the Korean Spinal Neurosurgery Society, the British Association of Spine Surgeons, and the Brazilian Spine Society, positioning it as a global platform for spine surgery advancements.
Key Highlights:
Robotic-Assisted and Navigation-Guided Spine Surgeries:
One of the conference's key attractions is the emphasis on robotic-assisted surgeries and navigation-guided procedures. These technologies provide real-time data integration, dramatically enhancing pre-surgical planning and intraoperative navigation. With unmatched clarity and precision, these systems allow surgeons to perform complex spinal surgeries with greater accuracy, reducing the risks of complications and improving patient outcomes.
Endoscopic Spine Surgery (UBE):
The conference will also delve into minimally invasive techniques like Endoscopic Spine Surgery (UBE), which uses cameras and specialized instruments to access the spine through small incisions. This technique reduces tissue damage and accelerates postoperative recovery, making it a preferred option for both patients and surgeons in treating complex spinal conditions.
Cutting-Edge Imaging Technologies:
Another major focus will be on advanced imaging technologies, including real-time integration of pre-surgical data to enhance intraoperative precision. These technologies are setting new standards in neuro-spinal surgery, allowing for better visualization of spinal structures and improving overall surgical success rates.
The conference will be inaugurated in the presence of Dr B. Bhaskar Rao, MD Kims Hospitals, and eminent figures in neurosurgery, including Prof. PS Ramani, Prof. KVR Sastry, and Prof. Batuk, who are renowned for their contributions to the field.
Dr. Manas Panigrahi, Organising President, and Dr. Savitr Sastri, Organising Secretary, emphasized the importance of this event, stating, “We are honored to host such a pivotal conference. This gathering offers a unique platform for surgeons to share knowledge, refine skills, and collaborate on innovative solutions in neuro-spinal surgery.”
Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chief Mentor of the conference, added, “This event is a testament to our institute’s commitment to advancing neuro-spinal care. We look forward to engaging with our global colleagues to drive better patient outcomes and set new standards in spine surgery.”
The conference will be held from September 19 to 22 in Hyderabad.
