New Aguilera music soon?

Singer Christina Aguilera, who hasn’t released any original material since her last album Lotus in 2012, has posted a photo to her Instagram page teasing fans of an imminent and long-awaited return.

In the photo, which the Genie In A Bottle singer conveniently failed to caption, Christina can be seen writing lyrics under a light in a recording studio, with headphones on.

While speaking on the Today show in October 2015, The Voice judge had said about her new music, “I’m excited for my fans to be getting something from me. It’s been a while,” adding that she has been “accumulating ideas” over the past few years.
