Why do you think we need more women in the IT industry? And what is the future of women in tech?

Women are already succeeding in technology despite the odds being stacked against them, and the forward-thinking companies they work for are enjoying the benefits indicating that diversity contributes to greater problem solving and creativity at work. In recent years, we have seen a massive escalation in women's participation in the IT sector, which can be attributed to its characteristics of being a white collar job with comparatively high salaries, easy international mobility, gender-neutral policy, and physically less demanding work.

According to an industry survey, businesses with at least 10% women enjoyed 2.5–5% greater returns on equity while those with 30% women experienced 15% higher profitability. At Appinventiv, we have always valued the contributions of women, and thus inspired many women to lead by example.

What is the most innovative service you’ve worked on?

By virtue of our experience in various game-changing technologies such as Blockchain, IoT, AI, ML, AR, and VR, Analytics, Neural Network, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Edge & Quantum Computing as well as the assistance of our research and development team, we have developed some of the most immersive products.

We helped Domino's redefine themselves using new digital approaches, resulting in a 23% increase in conversion rate. Some of the milestones that we have achieved in the realm of digitally disrupting the health care business include Youcomm and healthreel. Youcomm is a gesture recognition programme that is revolutionising patient and hospital communication systems, whereas Healthreel is a NASA software. We also have the distinction of being one of the few businesses to supply Blockchain, which we created for Asian Bank to assist them in providing rapid and easy banking.

Any tips for young women entering this sector?

We believe there has never been a better time for women to be a part of the technology industry. In addition to staying up-to-date with the technology advances and deciding what industries and technologies they are most interested in, women should always retain intellectual curiosity and have a growth mindset. Apart from learning from your team, building your network and learning from industry professionals will go a long way in the progression of their career.

How did Appinventiv respond to the Covid-19 pandemic?

Buoyed by the trend of working from home and rapidly adapting our strategies to address both the challenges and the opportunities created by the crisis, Appinventiv continued to thrive even during Covid.

At a time when companies were either laying off employees or introducing pay cuts, Appinventiv came to the rescue of as many as 200 people. Aimed at propagating employment opportunities for the people who had lost their jobs during Covid, we started the #Stepping Up campaign in 2020. Being a people centric organization, we gave three increments in just 15 months despite the limitations of the ongoing pandemic.

In the same year, we were conferred with the ‘Best App development company’ in the India Enabler Digital Awards 2020. We have also projected an exhilarating growth orientation with four newer settlements in Chandigarh, Dehradun, Indore, and Lucknow in the last few months.

What has been the driving force behind Appinventiv?

In a nutshell, our "People" are the driving force behind Appinventiv. We believe that the ultimate driver of a company's success is its people, therefore we encourage our employees to pursue their interests by creating a culture of continuous learning. Given this, we have launched a campaign for all Appinventors in which each Appinventor has the opportunity to become an Entrepreneur and establish a million-dollar firm.

Appinventiv’s success is a testament to its distinctive qualities, which include mastery of digital technologies, integration of innovation in the organization's fabric, maintaining an agile and receptive mindset, and emphasizing employee growth and progress.
