Exploring people and organizations- Vijay Sokhi's new book PEOPLONOMICS
It sheds light on how people and businesses interact with each other, and it is difficult to separate the two
Vijay Sokhi is a man who dons many hats. He is the author of the book PEOPLONOMICS, a market strategist, and a connoisseur of exotic foods and beverages. He successfully runs a business consulting firm called Sharp Consulting and Implementing (www.scico.com) . As a consultant, he put his sweat and blood into building the brands Granules N Beans and Artisna from scratch. Besides this, he has also crafted strategies for several other companies to help them understand the nuances of the market correctly.
Before he took the plunge into business consulting, he worked with reputed FMCG companies such as Hindustan Unilever Limited fifteen years. He was the brains behind the popularity of the Typhoo Tea brand in India.
He joined the company as an employee but soon rose to the ranks of middle management and now he is an established business consultant. His experiences have shaped him into what he is today. He has worked closely with all kinds of people, starting from the frontline workers, to middle and top management. All these experiences have enriched him with vast knowledge of human nature, which he now presents in his book PEOPLONOMICS, published by Locksley Hall Publishing and represented by The Book Bakers Literary Agency.
This book is all about people and business. It sheds light on how people and businesses interact with each other, and it is difficult to separate the two. Organisations need people for their success and vice versa. Vijay Sokhi, in his book, elaborates on how different people chart different life journeys- some get success easily and crash later, while some never succeed despite doing all the right things in life.
Vijay places a lot of emphasis on the importance of people in our lives. The kind of people we associate with can make or break our professional lives. Every small and intricate detail about work-life balance, professionalism, corporate politics, has been captured in this book. All in all, this book is a gripping read.
He also touches upon the issue of manipulation and politics in workspaces. The modern-day workspaces are not for the faint of heart. If you lack the determination to make it big in life, no matter how intelligent or brainy you are, you won’t survive. Smart work is as important as hard work if you want to excel
This book brilliantly explains the intricate functionings of an organisation. It opens to you a world hitherto unexplored, and encourages you to self-introspect. Once you realize who you really are and what your purpose is, you will understand the pattern around you. It also harps on the fact that no matter which part of the matrix you belong to; as long as you are driven by your values and principles, you will always remain relevant.
This book is a must read for all working individuals. It is a storehouse of all the corporate gyaan, and is almost spiritual in nature.
