A Punjabi-themed highway Dhaba, Punjabi Haveli, is the new food hotspot of Hyderabad. Located in Shamirpet, Punjabi Haveli is the ideal place to go on a long drive and enjoy delicious North Indian food. The highlights of the food here are Kulchas and Parathas with dollops of butter, Delhi Butter Chicken, and the giant Lassi (the longest lassi glass in Hyderabad). If this was not reasoned enough to visit, the Dhaba also has the Hyd Selfie Museum located on its premises. Here, you can click selfies and photographs against colourful backdrops for a minimal fee.

Opened recently in 2021, Punjabi Haveli has garnered immense love and has become the new long-driving spot. Since it is located an hour away from the city centre, it is ideal for a long weekend drive followed by a hearty lunch or dinner. The Dhaba also has a small play area for kids with bouncy balls and tiny swings to keep the little ones busy while you enjoy the tasty food.

Apart from the food, another highlight of Punjabi Haveli is the colourful and quirky decor. The entire Dhaba premise is decked with bright colours and Punjabi posters. The Hyd Selfie Museum, located inside Punjabi Haveli, is India's first selfie museum. It has more than 20 intriguing sets like the millionaire bedroom, colourful ball pit, Barbie box, retro cassette set, and more where you can click memorable photographs. The selfie museum is also used as a venue for kids' shoots, maternity shoots, proposal shoots, etc.

The Punjabi Haveli Dhaba is owned and operated by Rahul Anand, who brought the concept of a pre-wedding shoot studio to South India. He also owns Hashtag Studios, South India's first pre-wedding shoot studio. When asked about the Dhaba, Rahul said, "I did the entire conceptualisation and decor on my own as I have good experience designing creative event setups. Many people travel via highways regularly, and in most places, there is a lack of good quality food and clean restrooms. To fill that gap, we opened Punjabi Haveli Dhaba." A Punjabi at heart, his idea is to bring that Punjabi Dhaba vibe to Hyderabad, especially the famous warmth and hospitality of Punjab and lip-smacking dishes made from the freshest ingredients.

Because of the lovely familial atmosphere, Punjabi Haveli also sees a massive surge in birthday parties and small family gatherings. People from near and far come to the Dhaba, enjoy a lovely lunch or dinner with friends or family, click photos at the Hyd Selfie Museum, and have a day of fun. Because of its popularity, there is a huge crowd here on weekends, so booking a table in advance or arriving early is recommended.
