Excerpts Enlighten more about your journey as a ‘Food’ Influencer.
Shubhra - Food is what makes you who you are. Everyone has a bucket list of things they want to do at least once in their lives but in my case, it was unplanned. Though I come from a family that is extremely adventurous when it comes to food and being a hardcore foodie when I became overweight, I had to lose close to 30kgs so during that phase I just resorted to clicking pictures of food and traveling, and creating content to connect with the audience. This is how the journey began with @gastronomicjournal on Instagram in the year 2018.
In the past 3 years, you have earned a good name. What if your content was poorly received?
Shubhra - In this profession, there are several ways to make money. However, there will be ups and downs, so how you invest and save will be beneficial and above everything Patience is essential. My spouse, thankfully, serves as my investment advisor and portfolio manager that helped me to get my content to come out on top with strategic planning, of course.
In your journey as a Food influencer you have been to several restaurants, would you like to recommend some to the audience?
Shubhra - In Nagpur, I would suggest trying the native food, Saoji. In Dhapewada, on the outskirts of Nagpur, you may taste it at Shankar Saoji, Rahi Saoji, or Sanju Saoji. Nagpur is also known for its tarry poha, which can be found at Keshav Poha and Ramji Shyamji. Anand Stall, Ghatkopar Khao Galli, K Rustom, Izumi, Carter's Blue, Leopold’s, Jimi's Burger, Joey's or Eva's Pizza, Satish Sandwich in Malad West, and others in Mumbai come highly recommended. I adore regional food and encourage everyone to start with the finest of the region's offers.
How would you share your words of wisdom with the audience?
Shubhra - As I always say “To light your boats on fire, you must venture beyond of your comfort zone. There may be dread hiding behind numerous doubts, which you must overcome. One must never forget that patience is essential, and if you genuinely want to achieve something in life, you must constantly remember that the only way to unlock your potential is through perseverance and consistency”
How was your recent experience to Gujarat trip?
Shubhra – It was an adventure with the essence of the place and the local cuisines together with the taste of the culture. My visit to Rann Utsav, Rann of Kutch, white Rann, and tent city dorado was something that I will cherish forever.
