Musician Ajminur Oarish creates music with profound vocals
Ajminur Oarish who sings in his native language Bengali and also in English, is a graduate from the Bangladesh Institute of Broadcasting Art
There is a famous phrase by Bono on music which is, ‘Music can change the world because it can change the people’. Many of us would agree that music has the power to bring change. A young and talented musician Ajminur Oarish completely abide by this phrase by Bono. The debutant composer, lyricist, singer from the Bangladeshi music industry is already the talk of the town with his recently released album ‘The Bachelor Shit’.
Ajminur Oarish who sings in his native language Bengali and also in English, is a graduate from the Bangladesh Institute of Broadcasting Art. He has ranked first in batch in this 5 years degree program. He has also learned classical music from Shishu Academy and folk music from Chhayanaut. From the age of 9, he gradually shifted towards band music and also learned to play guitar and flute. As a teenager, he played for the Bengali band Meghdol. Although Ajmiur's first album has released in 2020 he started his effort to become a professional singer on YouTube and soon became popular among thousands of people who subscribed to his channel. He has also worked as assistant music director in an upcoming TV drama ‘The Lockdown Stories’.
Ajminur’s first album has scored excellent with music lovers across the age and gender. He is already a verified artist on popular music streaming platforms like Apple music, i-tunes, Deezer and Spotify. His first released song from his album has found a place in the heart of young millennials. Bangldeshi music industry has welcomed this gifted artist with the whole heart.
Ajmiur Oarish was born in Khulna, Bangladesh, in 1994 and he was raised on the fascinating Bengali music, whose melodic structure can be detected in many of his songs. His father is a teacher and his mother is a housewife. His parents were always supportive of his choice to make a career in music. Ajminur says ‘ I don’t remember if I thought anything else than music. It was always the source of inspiration and happiness for me. This was the sole reason behind my becoming a musician. I feel that it has the power to heal. There are countless examples where music has come as a great help in illness particularly in mental health issues, it has saved many lives. This is the reason I feel so connected with it. I want to keep creating music if it helps even a single person and brings happiness to him/her.”
Apart from a talented musician Ajminur Oarish is also an entrepreneur. He has launched his venture Ajminur Oarish Music in 2020. This is an independent record label based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ajmunur is at the planning stage of a nationally anticipated mega launch of his label.
Ajminur Oarish is aiming high as a musician. He wants to make his distinct place in the Bengali music industry and also wants to work as a music director in the Bangladeshi film industry, but most importantly he wants to make a positive impact on people’s lives through his music. “ I want to fill lives with happiness. If someone is sad or devastated or feels hopeless, he/she should be able to find hope and positivity in my music. That is my aim and that is what I want to do.” He sums up.
