Neet conducted in 497 cities
Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Neet-UG 2022), the country’s single largest medical entrance exam for undergraduate (UG) courses, on Sunday.
A total of 18,72,341 candidates registered for the exam, which was held from 2 p.m. to 5.20 p.m. at 3,570 locations in 497 cities, 14 of which were outside the country.
The Neet-UG is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to MBBS, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and other medicine programmes.
The exam was conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, and Urdu.
Flying squads were sent to exam centres to ensure that all NTA
regulations, including Covid norms, were followed, as well as to check for malpractices.
The National Testing Agency will publish an answer key for the exam on the website <http://neet.nta.nic.in/> neet.nta.nic.in and aspirants will be able to file complaints about the answer key.
