High Court refuses interim orders on PhD entrance exam exemption

HYDERABAD: A divisional bench of the Telangana High Court refused interim orders in a writ petition seeking exemptions from taking the PhD examination for the test scheduled for 2022.

The bench heard R.S. Shravan as party in person, who said that having completed UGCNET and SETTS examinations he was entitled for exemptions from the entrance examination corridor for pursuing his PhD. Standing counsel for Osmania University, said that UGC guidelines mandated such an examination. The bench posted the hearing to November 24.
