Hyderabad: Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday heard, inconclusively, a case about the rejection of affiliation by AICTE, on a petition filed by Kamareddy College Educational Society. The petitioner sought action against Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University for rejecting the college’s affiliation.

Senior counsel D. Prakash Reddy, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, contended that earlier, the government had issued a NOC and on several occasions, the requisite authorities were approached for affiliations. He further contended that JNTU was not permitting colleges to function by giving affiliations.

Advocate General B.S. Prasad, appearing on behalf of the state, sought time till October 19 to explain their stance. The bench will hear the matter on October 19.
