CBSE Class 10: Jawahar Navodaya students outperform those from KVs

Hyderabad: All CBSE students under the state-run Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in the state passed the CBSE Class 10 exams while those from the Centre-run Kendriya Vidyalayas recorded 99.84 percentage passes. In private schools the pass percentage stood at 99.33, of whom 99.21 per cent were boys and 99.49 per cent girls.

The total pass percentage stood at 99.39 per cent, of whom 99.26 per cent were boys and 99.55 per cent girls. In all, 34,696 students had appeared for the exams, including 19,168 boys and 15,528 girls.

A total of 31,009 appeared for the exams in Telangana under independent institutions. They included 17,256 boys and 13,573 were girls. Approximately, 30,802 students (17,119 boys and 13,683 girls) passed. All 712 students from JNV institutions (433 boys and 279 girls) passed the exam. Under KV institutions, 3,186 students appeared for the exam, including 1620 boys. Of them, 3181, including 1,615 boys and 1566 girls, passed the exams.
