Students throng police stations for open house
Police officials present explained to students details of various equipment they use as part of their investigations
KAKINADA: Hundreds of students thronged each of the police stations in Kakinada district for the second day of the open house programme on Thursday.
The programme is part of paying tributes to martyrs among police who had laid down their lives in the service of the nation, Kakinada superintendent of police M. Ravindranath Babu said.
Police officials present explained to students details of various equipment they use as part of their investigations. On display were advanced arms, AK-47, machine guns, revolvers, pistols, 9 mm carbines, IS rifle, grenades, gas grenades, rubber bullets, drones, body cameras, bomb disposal equipment, apart from dog squad and clues team.
Ravindranath Babu said 945 students have visited the open house programmes in the district so far.
