Youth hones their skill in technology: KTR
HYDERABAD: Stating that a number of IT companies had expressed their willingness to provide job opportunities, IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday said that students must hone their skills to meet industry expectations. He said the government was encouraging the IT sector as it could provide jobs, the minister said.
Rama Rao said that students must update their skills in IT. “Many companies require talented minds. When students are trained well in respective fields, the companies offer job opportunities," he said.
Rama Rao was speaking after laying a foundation stone for the Rural Micro Skill Development Centre by Cyient Foundation that is to come up at Mettugadda in Mahbubnagar district.
The Telangana government had provided the best facilities for gurukul schools, whose students had got seats in top medical, technical and management institutions.
Amara Raja Batteries is all set to establish a unit in Mahbubnagar by investing ₹9,500 crores and the management is willing to provide more job opportunities, he pointed out.
The minister participated in several development programmes in the Mahbubnagar district. Rama Rao also laid the foundation stone for the SGD Pharma Technology Plant at Vemula.
