Arya takes his own time to select the right script. Though last year, his films — be it  Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga (VSOP),  Yatchan or Inji Iduppazhagi — didn’t exactly do well at the box-office, despite putting in so much work, it looks like he’s bouncing back!

“I have signed my next film with director Raghavan, of Manjapai fame. It’s an adventure thriller, which is set completely in the backdrop of a forest. I can’t reveal anything more than this and we will begin the shooting from next month,” says Arya and adds that this time he’s doing something unique, which he hasn’t tried before.

“I will be undergoing a complete makeover for my character in the film right from my hair to the costumes. It’s a single heroine subject. We haven’t finalised who will play the leading lady, but zeroed in on the places that have forests like Bangkok, Kerala as locales. I am going to work harder for this film. I will also be focusing more on toning my muscles, besides the usual dieting schedule and fitness regime. I am keen on experimenting, and let’s see how it works out. As of now, I am working only on this film,” he signs off.

We hear Super Good Films, a company owned by actor Jiiva’s father, will produce the film. Cinematographer Sathish Kumar, who had worked on Peranmai, is also part of this film. Up next, Arya has Bangalore Naatkal, an official remake of the Malayalam hit film Bangalore Days, in his kitty, which will release in February.
