Hyderabad: A division bench of the Telangana High Court, comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Anil Kumar Jukanti, on Friday heard two PILs filed in 2012 by veteran journalist A.B.K. Prasad and T. Sriranga Rao, an advocate from Hyderabad, seeking a direction to the CBI to probe into the allotment of 850 acres of government land at Gachibowli by the then AP government in 2003 to IMG Academies Bharata Private Limited for Rs 4.25 crore towards developing sports academies.

Senior counsel Devadatt Kumar, representing the then sports minister, filed an impleadment petition. The Chief Justice bench agreed and adjourned the two PILs to July 2.

On March 7 this year, the High Court had restored the land to the government, which was challenged by IMG Bharata in the Supreme Court. It was informed to the court that the SLP preferred by IMG had been dismissed.
