THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The terracotta exhibition and sale at the Museum Auditorium, which will end on September 5, has attracted art lovers in droves. Kitchenware like cups, mugs, frying pans, curry pots, different types of glasses and decorative items such as candlestands, pen holders, lamps, beaded pots, garden lamps, murals and Ganapathi idols are in huge demand. The prices range from Rs 100 to Rs 30,000. The USP of these pots are that they can be used both in ovens as well as on gas stoves.

Organisers claim that their products are organic. “Aluminium and non-stick vessels cause diseases. It is high time that we went back to our old days where we used earthen pots. The curry pots are selling like hot cakes,” said Vijayakumari, an exhibition-organizer. The Malappuram-based small scale industrial unit, Anaswaram Kitchen Products and Murals, has organised the exhibition since Aug 31.
