1 How would you explain your art to a five-year-old?
I would make a story around that work of art. Everyone loves stories, don't they?

2 What’s the weirdest place ideas for art come to you?
In the shower, while attending a client meet or while out on a date.

3 If you were to say you had a strange creative pattern, ritual or routine, what would it be?
I keep the canvas, wooden panel or whatever I am using as a medium on the floor while painting and before I start, I like going for a run or a bike ride and then get back home and gorge on some chocolate icecream.

4 If there’s one artist you could bring back to life, who would it be and why?
Da Vinci, I would like to understand his brain. I am a very inquisitive person, and I believe, he holds a lot of secrets.

5 You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why?
I would love to be yellow as that's the colour that brings in life and brightness. It also symbolises hope.

6 One piece of poetry you’d turn into art?
Twinkle twinkle little star — It would be a sculpture and an abstract painting mixed together.

7 The funniest pick up line used on you?
I don’t think I am that good-looking or hot that someone has to use a pick up line on me. For some reason, girls have never been cheesy around me. They have always been nice to me. And if it clicks, great. (he laughs)

8 The one thing you’d tell people if they said you were too ‘young for your art’?
Look into my soul not my exterior whole. I am young but my brain is way more mature than you can imagine.

9 The best advice you ever had about how to be more creative?
Go live life, work, meet people, fall in love, get hurt, get up and do whatever you love, but do it constantly and with consistency.

10 The one quality you think make Bengalureans excellent art aficionados?
They are fearless and impulsive. I guess that sums it up.
Andrew's abstract art showcase is on at the Sublime Art Galleria till October 29.
