Special development fund bill approved by Telangana cabinet
The Bill will be introduced in the Assembly on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: The state Cabinet on Tuesday approved a Bill to bring Special Development Fund replacing Sub-Plans for SCs and STs at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Bill will be introduced in the Assembly on Wednesday. This will pave way for availability of more funds for these sections, including a provision to “carry forward” the unspent funds to next financial year also.
However, the much-anticipated Muslim Reservation Bill did not reach the Cabinet as the BC Commission report is still under preparation. The report will be submitted to the Chief Minister after it is prepared.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao took the opportunity to explain to his ministerial colleagues the need to organise TRS party plenary in a big way on April 27 in Warangal.
He instructed them to take active part and mobilise large crowds for the public meeting that would immediately follow the plenary session. The CM also asked them to put efforts to ensure that the party membership drive is a grand success.
