Divide the section into 3 equal sub sections and begin a inverted French braid.

Summer is a good time for experimenting with your mane and since braids are the coolest things to don this season, try out double braids, better known as boxer braids.

These braids were born in the ring but this style works even for evenings out, days at the office and romantic dates. Many are the celebrities seen wearing this style, from Kim Kardashian to Vanessa Hudgens.

How to achieve the look:
Begin by prepping the hair with a quarter size amount of hair gel (more can be added for coarser hair). Rake the gel through to give the hair a little more slip to braid.

Split the hair down the middle using a comb to create 2 equal sections.

Clip away one side of hair to help keep sections neat.

On the other side, grab a small section of hair to begin your braid. Divide the section into 3 equal sub-sections and begin an inverted French braid also known as a Dutch braid.

Braid all the way down until you reach the nape of the neck and tie off braid with an elastic.

Hide the elastic by wrapping the hair around and tuck into the elastic. Use a bobby pin if necessary. Then leave the remainder of hair loose. Repeat on other side and you are done.
