London bridge cake weighing 500 kg grabs spotlight at Bengaluru Cake Show

Bengaluru: As the whole nation is gearing to celebrate Christmas and New Year, Bengaluru celebrates in its own way by organising a cake show. This show has the distinction of India’s biggest annual cake show.
The icing on the cake this time is that a Bengaluru-based businessman C Ramachandran has offered city dwellers a sight to behold — by making cake replicas of the London Bridge, that reportedly weigh 500kg. The Cake artist find this as a creative challenge making this out of Sugar and edible materials. The structure is challenging as it takes time to perfect the design understanding and its execution.His passion, love for culinary has been there for many decades to now that he supports many young to learn and understand the techniques.
Visitors seemed excited as they went around looking in awe at the different varieties of cake designs in front of them. Reportedly, the event is being organised at Bengaluru’s Indian High School ground near UB City. The cake show, which started on December 16, will conclude on the New Year’s Eve.

The city of Baghdad and the king’s castle is depicted with sugar dough with intricacy and color. The hanging magic carpet over the cloud is a structural cake art with the Genie flying into the sky. This cake is made with sugar craft and rice krispy treats.
