From the board room to the kitchen
Some people shine as corporate heads, but do well as chefs too.
As dusk gradually began to fall, they took off their blazers, donned the chef’s hats, and got ready to rustle up a meal. We are talking about the Culinary Challenge that took place at a city hotel on Friday.
Corporate honchos from different companies, took some time out to come together to take part in the third edition of the challenge. The participants had 45 minutes to cook and present their dishes and were accompanied by the children from the Smile Foundation, an NGO.
The winner from each city will compete at the grand finale in Chandigarh in November 2016. Ambika Philip, the general manager at a company, walked away with the winning title.
She teamed up with Aparna from Smile Foundation and presented the Baida Roti, a dish closest to her heart, along with dips and crisps. “I have chosen this dish from Mumbai as I met my husband there,” she says, adding, “The Culinary Challenge is an exciting opportunity to showcase my culinary skills, and I was very excited to participate. The competition was tough, but I prepared my dish with passion, love and had a lot of fun. I am eagerly waiting to stir up another dish at the grand finale at Chandigarh,” she continues.
