World's oldest man' celebrates 146th birthday

A man from a small village in Indonesia, who claims to be the oldest person ever to have lived, recently celebrated his 146th birthday. Mbah Gotho was born on 31st December 1870 according to the documents in his possession.

Even the Indonesian records office confirmed the authenticity of his papers. The centenarian rang in his birthday with his grandson and his wife. He has outlived all ten of his siblings, his four wives and even his children.

When asked earlier what the secret to a long life was, Mr Gotho answered: “The recipe is just patience”. He even revealed that he had begun preparing for his death in 1992 and even had a gravestone made, reports the Independent.
