Mumbai: Being born with a life threatening disease can be a terrible thing for an infant. But while chances may seem bleak, people do manage to come back from the dead in extraordinary cases. A similar incident has been reported from Mumbai, which will restore your faith in miracles.

Three-month-old Aaradhya Wagh from Dhule was born with a hole in his heart and had little of hope for survival. It seemed even worse when his heart stopped beating for 45-minutes, but then he got a second life after stabilising the organ by connecting a mechanical circulatory support system.

The child lost heartbeat after a day in the surgery, but due to a series of procedures the heart was back in fully functioning condition and the child survived. It took 26 hours to complete all procedures and finally the child is fit and can lead a normal life, according to a leading daily.

Aaradhya had turned blue after birth and doctors said that such children have less ability to pump fresh blood in the body. They are called blue babies because of the colour their skin takes due to lack of oxygen.
