Get healthy: In the Quiet lies enrichment
Samara Mahindra, founder of the career Program and a holistic health coach shares five tips that keep her fit and healthy.
Nutrient balance: I don’t believe in extremes and stick to nutrient dense foods that give my body and mind the privilege of indulging once in a while. Long-term sustenance is key.
Hydration: A bottle of water is by my side everywhere I go. Drinking water helps get a healthy digestive system, circulation, great skin and more energy.
Sleep: Sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind and is the only time the body heals, recuperates and regenerates. A minimum of eight hours sleep is essential for me.
Exercise: It is essential but the kind of exercise one does is even more important. Short bursts of high-intensity cardio coupled with weight bearing exercises provides the right combination of endurance, strength and power.
Healthy mind: I begin my day with a short meditation to quieten the mind. The goal is to be present in the moment and for those five minutes, I detach myself from negative thoughts and stress.
