A rare condition has caused a three-year-old boy’s leg to grow excessively in size. Akshaj Khandelwal from Dwarka in Delhi was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome (KTS) not long after his birth, reports Barcroft TV.
KTS causes excessive growth on the right side of the body of the affected individual. It is so rare that it affects just one or two in 100,000 people.
Akshaj’s condition has made mobility increasingly difficult for him. Its visible symptoms include port wine stains, large varicose veins and hypertrophy (extra growth) of one limb.
