3D sex organs will now help blind students learn about sex
Around 61 percent of blind adults have problems during sex due to their disability
Teaching students about sexual health is very important and giving them the correct education is also important for everybody. Researchers have invented a method to help blind children get the right sex education through 3D models of the organs and better learning.
According to a report in Mashable, the researchers created over 18 three dimensional figures of sex organs in different situations and states of arousal. While an erect penis is obvious, they also have a flaccid penis and dilated vaginal opening that would help students to feel the organs during sex education class. A recent research highlighted that about 61 percent of blind adults faced a problem during sex because of their lack of vision. The researchers at Benetech, a non-profit organization specializing in tech to help people decided to make lives easier with the models to educate children.
Apart from being a game changer for sex education among blind children in school, the inventors also believe that it will help children who can see understand the subject better. While technology is going to play a big part in education, teaching sex education just got easier for teachers.
