A 26-year-old Indian-Australian lawyer who runs a hugely successful tea retail business has been named Australia’s Businesswoman of the Year. It was Uppma Virdi’s grandfather who taught her he art of making Ayurvedic tea.
The immense popularity of her special blends led her to running an online store and even offering ‘The Art of Chai’ classes. She also wholesales to local speciality stores.
It took her two years to build her profitable venture. She was felicitated in a high-profile ceremony in Sydney, according to reports.
