Smoker makes inspiring snapchat story to raise cancer awareness
The social media user made the video after his non-smoker family friend died of cancer
Warning signs for cancer is everywhere and smokers usually ignore it because they are quite used to people telling them to quit by now. However, there are some who go ahead and quit the so-called ‘death stick’ after many failed attempts. A Mumbaikar recently used to social media to send a message to everybody to quit smoking.
According to a media report, Aashish Mehrotra recently took awareness a step further when he made a snapchat story telling people about how he quit smoking after a family friend died of cancer even though she was a passive smoker. The video shows Mehrotra at the hospital when he decided to make the story; he had decided to donate platelets and white blood cells after he quit smoking.
The user decided to quit after he saw people get out of the oncology department struck with sadness most often than not. Aashish took it upon himself to create awareness about the harmful effects of smoking and would continue to do it even if people thought he was annoying to them.
