Appreciated for her unique presentation of nature, Deepa has started to produce knife paintings.
Deepa Satish, daughter of renowned artist S. B. Easwaran has already secured a place of eminence among the reputed painters of India. Following the footsteps of her father, who has also been her guru, has helped her specialise in landscape painting.
Appreciated for her unique presentation of nature, Deepa has started to produce knife paintings.
“To me, my paintings must spread positive vibrations. My pleasure is my profession and I work with such intensity that it satisfies my customers “she said.
The enduring support of her family and her encouraging husband has made this journey possible, she added. Deepa Satish learnt the art and style of nature depiction from S.B. Easwaran, stoke by stroke, colour by colour and shade by shade. For this reason, she is the only true disciple of his.
“When I paint a scene, I am very much there in my mind. I hear the sounds of the forests and the streams and I see the whole scene with absolute clarity. But I choose the spots where the light shadow must fall in order to make the landscape beautiful. I want the viewers to have the same experience and they must hear the sound of nature, while viewing my landscapes and they must love our trees and preserve the beautiful forests of our planet. This is my dream and that shall always be my vision”, said S.B. Easwaran, an extract from his biography ‘Beyond the green woods’.
She employs a technique to present nature as it appears to the human eye, with a three dimensional image. “I love to paint with bright colours and I personally have a special attachment to picture the running stream for they transmit positive vibes”, she said.
Her paintings are not just recreations of nature but an art with life. Her specialty is she gives a scientific outlook to her paintings, by which she makes it clear for even the layman to be able to understand. In the coming years, more landscapes of grandeur will emerge through her golden fingers to spread happiness among the people.
