Video: Kite surfer gets flung high in the air as he faces Hurricane Matthew

Florida: Hurricane Matthew has resulted in hundreds of deaths and devastation across the Caribbean as it hit the American coast. Even as evacuations were underway due to the grave threat, there was no stopping adrenaline junkies who found an opportunity in turbulent times.

As several people rushed to the beaches to surf in the face of a storm that was approaching, a kite surfer was spotted having a grand time as he smiled in the face of the hurricane and was even flung high into the air by a strong gust of wind, before landing back on the waves.

The surfer’s escapades went viral on the internet as some praised his bravery and sense of adventure, while others describing his actions as stupid in dangerous times as a devastating storm was approaching.
