Video: Moment baby Caribbean reef octopus hatches from its egg

An Instagram video shows an adorable moment baby octopus wriggles out of its egg.

The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center shared the footage of the eight-armed baby on the social media site.

In the video, the baby Caribbean reef octopus emerges out of a sac of eggs shaped like a flower.

The little one immediately changes its colour from while to purple as away to camouflage with its surroundings.

These creatures have this ability even though they are colourblind as they are able to differentiate brightness and hues, the Daily Mail reported.
