Artist Laxma Goud’s wife Ramulamma Goud passed away on Monday morning, and his friends from the art community are by his side.
Thota Vaikuntam, Surya Prakash and Laxman Aelay were some of the artists to arrive early to pay their condolences. Close friend and artist Hanumantha Rao was also present. “I met him and shared my condolences. Laxma spoke highly about his wife and said that she was always there to take care of their family, while he would be busy travelling for various art camps. She has been ailing since a long time,” said Laxman Aelay.
Surya Prakash shared, “Laxma went for a morning walk, and when he came back, he found his wife unconscious. The last time I saw her was when Laxma had thrown a party to the art community to celebrate being honoured with a Padma Shri. He was luckily at home on Monday, as he keeps travelling to conduct various art camps. Slowly his relatives started coming this morning. She was a doting wife to Laxma and a mother to their children.”
Haumantha Rao added that he knew the family well. “Whenever I would visit or call them, she would ask me about my wife and daughter. She was a good person and affectionate towards Laxma and their family.”
