Watch: Skiing party almost runs over Snow leopard in Gulmarg
The animal gave out a threatening roar before scuttling away.
A group of Australian tourists out on a skiing trip at Kashmir’s Gulmarg had a jolting moment captured on camera when one of them almost ran over a rare Himalayan snow leopard.
Revealing that the animal gave out a threatening roar before scuttling away, Owen Lansbury, who uploaded the video on Facebook, was quoted by The Telegraph as saying “We skied our first powder line and the guide in yellow almost ran over the leopard. I stopped just as it huddled in the snow, where it stayed for about a minute checking us out.”

Adding that it sprinted off to the woods, Owen described the experience as ‘pretty amazing.’
Wildlife officials though have cast doubts on the claims and believe that the animal could have been a normal leopard instead of a snow leopard as Gulmarg is not one of the habitats of snow leopards.
