Muslim entrepreneur sets up dating site that helps men find a second wife
Currently, the SecondWife.com has around 35,000 members and Polygamy.com has 7,000 since its launch last year.
A Muslim businessman in Britain has raked controversy after creating a dating website to help men find a second wife and has close to 35,000 Britons signing up for the service. Azad Chaiwala’s projects - SecondWife.com and Polygamy.com - have become an instant hit despite bigamy being illegal in Britain. While the former website is aimed at Muslim men, the latter caters to men of all religions.
But Chaiwala stresses that his service actually promotes fidelity and is a solution for women from being lonely, according to The Daily Mail. He insists that his websites champion old-fashioned values as profile pictures are carefully screened to prevent any indecency. “We do not allow cleavage,” he explains.
Currently, the SecondWife.com has around 35,000 members and Polygamy.com has 7,000 since its launch last year. Chaiwala is quick to clarify that he is not trying to promote a criminal act with his websites as his religion allows a man to have up to four wives as long as they are in agreement with the arrangement. He also claims that even other religions allow polygamy.
