Here's what men really think of external beauty
Male participants were connected to a heart monitor and shown images of attractive' female models followed by a picture of a loved one.
Society’s notions of beauty standards tend to have an impact on the minds of most people about how they perceive others and even themselves. But can ‘perfect’ physical appearance alone leave a lasting impression on a man? An experiment by a popular beauty soap brand aims to find out if that’s true.
The video of the experiment shows male participants connected to a heart monitor and being shown images of ‘attractive’ female models followed by a picture of a loved one. This person could be their romantic partner or even siblings, children, and extended family members. It was observed that each participant’s heart rate increased a lot more when shown a woman with whom he shared a personal connection.
The unique exercise proved that love and deep emotional connection are not dependent on arbitrary factors like physical appearances.
