Flick the click, meet people, says Akshara Haasan
In the age of mobile phones, actress says the fingertip indicates if you are addicted.
Honesty is the most important thing when you are in love. Being deceitful is the main reason for a breakup in relationships,” remarked Akshara Haasan. She was herself a victim of a cyber crime and while reacting to a query on the film being about addiction to mobile phones and social media, the actress said, “To some extent stay away from cell phones and mingle with human beings rather than machines. And the fingertip preciously highlights the evil side of addiction to hi-tech mobile phones.”
“In today’s age, where social media is a very essential part of our daily life, there is a growing need to create awareness to the ill effects of the same. I hope the audience enjoys my character as much as I did,” she explained.
The fingertip portrays how a single swipe or post on social media can change the lives of its users and push people out of their comfort zones, thereby burdening them with huge social pressure. Each episode features a fictional mobile app having relatable features to apps in the real world and showcases various negative human emotions such as greed and rage.
Akshara was speaking at the promo meet of her Tamil web-series Fingertip, a techno-thriller, which talks about the perils of using smart phones.
Directed by Shivakar and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Films, the 5-episode show is a social media thriller featuring Akshara Haasan, Ashwin Kakumanu, Gayathri, Sunaina and Madhusudhan Rao in lead roles.
