From being a means of livelihood to creating magnificent pieces worthy of being passed on from one generation to the next, the art of rug weaving deserves special mention. Currently on display at Navrathans Antique Art on Road No. 12 Banjara Hills, Heirloom by RugWeave is a special showcase of rare and riveting rugs, collected over the last 35 years by S.M. Tariq and Zeeshan Tariq.

Displayed on one end are century old rugs and to rival these masterpieces are new age recreations through the Rug Souk collection. This collection is representation of the rug bazaars back in Iran with a display of fine Kashmiri, Iranian, Afghani and modern pieces. Whether you are an art aficionado, an antique collector or looking to delve into some rugs, an interior designer or an architect, you will find your piece of legacy. From the traditional masterpieces to the recreated gems, each masterpiece has its own story to tell.
