Hilarious video: Dad tells four-year-old daughter why she can't have a boyfriend
The video starts by the girl asking her dad, What if I want to get a boyfriend? to which her dad replies I'll break his legs.
A video recently went viral on the Internet, where a Scottish father is seen having a discussion with his four-year-old daughter about having a boyfriend.
Jony Tierney from Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, told his daughter Grace that he would break her boyfriend’s legs and take her boy's dad as a hostage and will lock him in the cupboard.
The video starts with Grace asking her dad, “But what if I want to get a boyfriend?” to which her dad replies “I'll break his legs.”
The little girl shouts back "No" but Tierney says, “And guess what will happen after that? See your boyfriend's Daddy? Daddy will take him hostage and keep him in a cupboard.”
The poor girl is seen yelling back saying “No” every time her dad says something.
“Listen. I want a boyfriend. I'm getting a boyfriend,” Grace tries to interrupt but her dad says, “You're not getting a boyfriend, you're going to be a nun. You're going to work for Jesus. 'This is who you're going to work for. End of story.”
He captioned the video: “Had a heated discussion with Grace today over boyfriends,' after filming the clip over the weekend and it's since been liked more than 2,980 times.”
Speaking about the video, Tierney told DailyMail, “We were just heading to the park so Grace could have a go on her new bike, and she waved at two boys who walked past the car. I joked that she should stop waving at boys because they were smelly, and she then told me she wanted a boyfriend."
"I started recording her responses because she is such a wee character - she is very much a sponge and absorbs everything that people says. The video has gone a bit mental - we got stopped in the supermarket yesterday by someone who had seen it. I never expected it to go this mad,” he adds.
The video was posted on Twitter and since then it has gone viral and has got over 2,200 retweets. Tierney has been appreciated by other like-minded fathers as well.
