Celebration of independent music
Deliverance music festival, a platform for indie musicians across the country, will begin on June 30.
The second edition of the Deliverance music festival is scheduled to begin on June 30. The festival, founded with an aim to give a platform for underground indie artists and to create a parallel music culture other than the popular film-bound music, will be held at South Park hotel in Thiruvananthapuram. A gathering to celebrate the works of hard-working independent bands across the country, Deliverance 2019 will feature indie bands of all genres from India.
Kochi-based Olam and Primal Abuse from Hyderabad have already announced that they will be performing in the fest. Olam, the band, a quartet right now, has Syam N. Pai (guitars), Arun S. Kumar (drums), Ajoy Jose (keyboards) and Manu Ajayan (bass). They are friends connected by music. The band is just two-and-a-half years young, but its members have been in the industry for many years. Hyderabad-based Primal Abuse is a four piece thrash metal band formed in 2012. They have made a mark in the metal scene with their intensely aggressive performances that stem from the common passion they share for thrash metal. Consisting of heart-melting face-burning riffs coupled with some powerful drumming and screaming vocals, this is one band that one has all ears when they go live. The organisers will announce the other bands featuring in the festival soon.
