Odisha Man Launches Diwali Rocket With Help of Alexa, Video Goes Viral

A video of an Odisha man lighting a Diwali rocket with the help of Amazon's Alexa device has gone viral.
In the viral video, the man can be heard saying,"Alexa, launch the rocket." On hearing the man, Alexa responds:"Yes, Boss, launching the rocket."
The video has gone viral and has been viewed by more than 26 million users. The video was posted on Instagram by Mani's Projects Lab with the caption that reads,"Launching the rocket with Alexa."
The video has caught the attention of many including Amazon Alexa India and Swiggy Instamart handles. Amazon Alex commented,"Taking "hands-free" Diwali literally," and Swiggy humorously commented,"ai has gone too far(lierally)."
A user commented on his video saying,"1000 missed calls from SpaceX." "Alexa rocked, humans shocked," commented another user.
A third user wrote, “I made this last year on diwali using an Arduino module which accepts the voice command and triggers a relay module. The relay module uses the concept of electromagnetism and acts as a digital switch. The switch is connected to nichrome wires which heat up to light the rockets.”
The man behind the video has uploaded the tutorial on how to build a smart rocket launch system using Alexa with an ESP32/ESP8266 microcontroller on his YouTube channel.
