46 Kg Ganja Seized at Station
Hyderabad: The GRP and RPF of Secunderabad arrested one Silpa Naik, 27, for transporting 46 kg ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra and seized the contraband worth Rs.11.50 lakh. Her associate Rajeev Naik escaped. They had arrived by the Falaknuma Express and was about to board the Devagiri Express, Mahesh Bhagwat ADGP, railways, said.
3 Arrested with 44 Kg Ganja
Hyderabad: The Mokila police arrested three individuals — Ganjanan Subhash Mohite, Govinda Dharasingh Jadav, and Shilpa Gajanan Mohite — for carrying 44 kg ganja on the Outer Ring Road service road at Indiranagar. They were transporting the ganja from the Andhra Odisha border to Maharashtra. Mokila sub-inspector Veera Babu said. They claimed that the ganja was for personal consumption.
Woman Killed in Freak Mishap
Hyderabad: An RTC bus fatally ran over Anusheela, a 26-year-old resident of Kukatpally, near Bharathnagar bridge on Thursday morning after she was knocked down by a water tanker, police said. The tanker driver fled the spot. Anusheela was riding a two-wheeler along with a pillion rider, Sunitha, from Kukatpally to Srinagar Colony, when the mini-bus hit them from behind. Anusheela fell under the rear tyres of the bus. Sunitha was injured. They were employed at a private firm.
