ACB Takes Over Animal Husbandry Scam Case

Hyderabad: The state government has handed over state animal husbandry department cases to the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), following discovery of irregularities in the distribution of sheep, police sources disclosed.

In a case was registered in Gachibowli on December 26, complainant T.S. Yeddullaiah, a sheperd, stated that he along with 17 others had handed over 341 units of sheep, each unit comprising of 22 animals, to the animal husbandry officer on special duty Kalyan but they did not receive payment. The department transferred the amount in another account, police said.

The ACB is also investigating the theft of documents from the animal husbandry department that was earlier investigated by Nampally police, sources disclosed.
