Alliance Will Take Care of Amaravati, VSP, Polavaram if Elected
Vijayawada: BJP election co-in-charge in AP Siddarth Nath Singh stated that once TD-JS-BJP alliance gets elected to power in the upcoming polls in Andhra Pradesh, it will take up development of Amaravati, not allow privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and complete Polavaram project in the next five years.
Taking part in the Ugadi festivities at the party office here on Tuesday, he criticised the ruling YSR Congress government, saying it failed to develop a capital city for the state during its five-year rule.
The BJP leader stressed on the need for a double-engine government in the state, so that a series of welfare schemes and developmental works could be implemented in the state.
He underlined the importance of completing the Polavaram irrigation project. He said once the NDA alliance is elected to power in AP, it would take up execution of the project with support from the centre.
Siddarth Nath Singh vowed to develop AP every way. He reiterated that there can be development only when the same government rules both the centre and state.
The BJP in-charge ruled out any changes in nominees of the party in both assembly and Lok Sabha seats. His comment came in the wake of speculation that some nominees might be changed to accommodate certain leaders.
