Hyderabad: In a heart warming incident, Meru, an army dog that served in the Indian Army's K-9 Warrior unit has travelled in a train's first class AC compartment after its retirement.
The pictures of Meru (Labrador Retriever) in the train have gone viral on social media.
The dog, who was a celebrated explosives detector and trail hunter, will live at the dogs retirement home at RVC centre in Meerut.
In addition to Meru, the Defence Ministry has recently permitted retired army dogs to travel in first class AC along with their handlers.
