ASHA to Stop Arogyasri Services from Today

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Specialty Hospital Association (ASHA) announced that they will stop Arogyasri medical services from Wednesday due to non-payment of pending bills by the state government.

ASHA president Dr. V. Murali Krishna pointed out that money due to hospitals after undertaking Arogyasri tasks throughout the state are approximately Rs.1,500 crore.

ASHA secretary Dr. C. Avinash said in a letter to Dr. YSR Arogyasri Trust chief executive officer G. Lakhmisha, they have pointed out that the network hospitals have received only about ?50 crore EHS dues. Further, no Arogyasri dues have been received since August 2023.

“Thus, the network hospitals have decided to stop both Arogyasri and EHS services under unavoidable circumstances,” Dr. Avinash added.
