First List of BJP Odisha Assembly Polls Candidates Out. Party Places Bet On 49 New Faces Among 112 Candidates
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced the much-awaited list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Odisha. Of the total 147 Assembly constituencies, the saffron party announced the names of its candidates for 112 seats.
Almost all the sitting MLAs have made a cut into the candidate list. There are 49 new faces in the list.

Among the important names who have been announced are Jayanarayan Mishra (Sambalpur), K. Anil Kumar (Berhampur), Sidhant Mohapatra (Digaphandi), Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh (Nayagarh), Jagannath Pradhan (Bhubaneswar Central), Priyadarshi Mishra (Bhubaneswar North), Babu Singh (Ekamra-Bhubaneswar), Ashrit Kumar Pattnayak (Pipili), Jayanta Kumar Sarangi (Puri), Mohan Charan Majhi (Keonjhar), Sitansu Sekhar Mohapatra (Bhadrak), Manas Kumar Dutta (Balasore), Prakash Ch. Sethi (Cuttack-Sadar) and Nayan Kishore Mohanty from Choudwar-Cuttack.
